Selling on Miss Money Penny - how it works
We are an agent connecting Buyers with Sellers and take a commission on the sale. We do not own the goods or handle them. We only take the good designer stuff so our buyers don't have to wade through mountains of average tings to find what they want. they are a discerning bunch!
If you want to sell your gorgeous pre-owned designer gear on the site, this is what you do;
a)
Take a photo of the item you want to sell - see photography guidelines below
- b) Fill out a Selling Form on the site describing the item in detail and telling us how much you want for it. (See Pricing
- Guidelines below) We say yay or nay.
- c) We list the item and sell it for you ( we send you a note telling you where to send it and when it arrives, you get
- paid 80% of that sale.
- d) Items up listed for 3 months and if they don't sell are taken off the site (we always want to offer frresh & new
- product to our customers!). You can re-submit the following season if you still want to try.
NB: Miss Money Penny
does not charge listing fees rather, she charges
a flat 20% commission on the total sale when it sells. The Seller sets the price they would like for their item (see guidelines below). keep in mind that regular consignment stores charge up to 60% commission!! They also don;t have the reach/traffic. Ebay also charrges similar rates and you are competiting with a lot of clutter!
Timing - How long will it take to sell? Miss Money Penny is
NOT a clearance or auction site! Your items may take time to find the right home. If you are after a quick sale this may not be the right environment for you - this is a boutique versus a department store! Some items are snapped up in a week, others take months. You will get better prices though if you have high quality, well priced items.
Snap shot in 5 easy steps
1. Fill out the Selling Form on the site
2. We List the item for you (within 1-3 days) OR tell you it is not accepted
3. We email you when it sells with details on where to send
4. You send it to the buyer
5. We pay you - less 20% commission

Guidelines
Photographic
- * The better your product looks, and the more detail you can show, the better chance of selling your item fast.
- * On your digital camera, please photograph item on a white background (a sheet is fine) or dark background
- for light coloured items.
- * Make sure the shot is well lit and shows length of garments as well as any fabric and other detail.
- * Ensure the image has plain background with nothing else cluttering the image.
* Mannequin is best but hung or laid flat for jeans/pants also fine. Jeans/pants – side-on
or on body (cropped at waist) look great. (see examples on the site).
* Show any detail (eg. close ups of lace trim)
* Set camera to a medium resolution (eg 1024x768 pixels or 200dpi)
* Deep etched (no background with white space around) is ideal if your camera has an editing program to do this.

Pricing your item
* As a general rule,
start with 50% of original purchase price if the item is near new or still has tags.
For gently worn items in good condition, around 25% of RRP is advisable. This may vary from item to item and is
up to you the seller. You set the price but the more realistic for the buyer the faster you will sell. If your item is not
selling you may revise the price at any time by advising MMP via email. If the item has been on the site for 90 days
and has not sold, it gets de-listed. You may re-subit the following season which might be more appropriate.
Look at the other items on the site as a guide and think about what you would pay for this
pre-owned item.

international orders could attract a customs fee, tariff and/or import duty applicable to the country of entry. These
are to be paid directly by the customer and Miss Money Penny is not responsible for these charges.
